In 2004, visionary leaders Lorenzo Scott, Charlie Flemming, and Cathy Howell came together to establish Georgia STAND-UP, a dynamic force for change in our communities. Under the inspiring leadership of Executive Director Deborah Scott, this organization has become a powerful “think and act tank for working families.” With a mission to enhance civic engagement, voter education, and equitable public policy, Georgia STAND-UP has united community, labor, academic, and government partners to tackle pressing issues like housing, transit, environmental justice, and economic opportunity in Fulton County.
