Fulton County high school students can showcase their talents in the 2025 Black History Film Festival’s Essay & Film/Reel Competition! With $2,000 in total prizes, students can dive into the stories of Unsung Black Inventors. This is an opportunity to create, innovate, and celebrate the impactful contributions of these individuals. 🎬✍🏾 Calling All Fulton County High School Students! ✍🏾🎬

The 19th Annual 2025 Black History Film Festival is proud to announce our Student Essay & Film/Reel Competition spotlighting Unsung Black Inventors — the innovators who changed America but don’t always get the recognition they deserve.

💰 $2,000 in total prizes will be awarded!
🥇 $500 – 1st Place for essay and film
🥈 $350 – 2nd Place for essay and film
🥉 $150 – 3rd Place for essay and film

📚 Choose ONE category:
• Essay (500 words)
• Video or Reel (up to 5 minutes)

👩🏾‍🎓 Open to Fulton County high school students only or students who reside in Fulton County including Atlanta Public Schools.

🗓 Submission Deadline: Friday, February 13, 2026
