I hope the Fulton County residents are paying attention. Today we took a vote to restore 1 million for veterans services in Fulton County.
I established the veterans empowerment commission in 2022 and got Fulton County to contribute 1 million dollars per year for 2022, 2023, and 2024 for veterans services in Fulton County.
However this year, Pitts, Abdur-Rahman, Ellis and Thorne voted to remove the 1 million from our budget for veterans. And today they voted against it for a 6th time and for including the 1 million in next years budget.
Does your Commissioner support Veterans? We gave them a proclamation but refuse to allocate funds to support our veterans. Look closely at the votes. None of us would enjoy the freedoms we have today if not for our veterans.
It is time to PASS the BATON to the next generation of leaders. It is time to move Fulton County Forward as One Fulton.
